چکیده
Within the concept of a smart grid, aggregators have task coordinating behavior large sets Distributed Energy Resources, each them offering small power/energy capacities, which help to balance power grid and can serve as providers services. Adequate coordination strategies are required optimally exploit these resources in ancillary services market. However, deriving model-based control policies for is complex due heterogeneity uncertainty related set associated agents. Then, data-driven model an adequate solution this sort situation. This paper presents application Youla–Kucera Data-Driven Control strategy development aggregator regulate consumption thermoelectric refrigerators, avoiding modeling process directly designing controller from data. A detailed simulation framework was executed verify validity proposed methodology. It shown that derived able offer frequency containment reserves service, achieving settling time 30 seconds with tracking error below 4.7%.

Data-Driven Approaches to Demand Response: Studies on Thermostatically Controlled Loads and Electric Vehicles
This dissertation presents a set of studies that use data collected on thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) and electric vehicles (EVs) to (i) understand and improve their participation in demand response (DR) strategies, and (ii) quantify their capabilities as DR providers. First, we focus on TCLs and formulate a centralized control scenario in which a large, heterogeneous population of TC...
متن کاملData - Driven Baseline Estimation of Residential Buildings for Demand Response †
The advent of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) generates a large volume of data related with energy service. This paper exploits data mining approach for customer baseline load (CBL) estimation in demand response (DR) management. CBL plays a significant role in measurement and verification process, which quantifies the amount of demand reduction and authenticates the performance. The prop...
متن کاملA Closed-Loop Control Strategy for Air Conditioning Loads to Participate in Demand Response
Thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs), such as air conditioners (ACs), are important demand response resources—they have a certain heat storage capacity. A change in the operating status of an air conditioner in a small range will not noticeably affect the users’ comfort level. Load control of TCLs is considered to be equivalent to a power plant of the same capacity in effect, and it can sig...
متن کاملHarnessing Residential Loads for Demand Response: Engineering and Economic Considerations
There exists disagreement on how Demand Response (DR) programs should be designed. This is likely because people from different fields view DR differently. For example, some see DR as a mechanism to improve electricity markets while others see it as a new control variable that can enhance power system reliability and security. In this paper, we review the many options for harnessing residential...
متن کاملOptimal Demand Response for Distribution Feeders with Existing Smart Loads
Load characteristics play an important role in distribution systems, which are traditionally designed to supply peak load; hence, decreasing this peak can considerably reduce overall grid costs. Basic components of smart grids such as smart meters allow two-way communication between the utilities and customers; in this context, controllable smart loads are being introduced, which allow developi...
